Erik

Meet Erick. This big lovable lump needs a home. He is 8 yrs old, neutered, and his shots are all up to date. Erick is also diabetic. Erick's previous owners had a toddler that terrified him. He was very stressed out and unhappy. This made it very hard to get his blood sugar levels regulated so this very sweet, and otherwise healthy boy was going to be euthanized. Needless to say Erick went into an emergency foster. In just 4 weeks, Erick has gone from requiring 6 units of insulin/day to just 1 unit which is incredible!!! A quiet loving home, a proper diet and a consistent insulin schedule are all factors. It is our hope that eventually Erick will go in to remission and his blood sugar levels will be able to be maintained with just a proper diet. His vaccinations were just done August 27th and last week he had his boosters, a VERY thorough exam and a fructosamine test😁 This guy is definitely a snuggle bum. Erick requires a quiet home with NO other cats and NO young children. This is crucial to his well-being as well as his happiness. Small to medium sized adult dogs are ok as long as they are fairly calm, and respect his space. Diabetes does not have to be a death sentence nor does it have to break the bank. There are some great resources available to owners of diabetic pets and some very helpful tools and tricks. It is easier than you might think! Adopt

Tuna

Meet Tuna! Poor Tuna had a rough start, when he was dumped in the country a few months ago, with another kitty. He was very stressed and frightened, but has since flourished in foster care. He's approximately 1.5yrs old, and is neutered and up to date with vaccinations. He's an energetic, curious, and affectionate boy, who's looking for his forever person to love. He's good with dogs and most cats, but would also do well being the only pet.

Adopt

Mr. Kitty

Mr Kitty  is a little apprehensive but we are working on winning  him over with soft reassurance and of course an abundance of treats and 3 square meals a day. He had been repeatedly attacked by other cats while outside so is a little traumatized.

Adopt

Grace

Grace came to us as a heavily pregnant girl. Infested with fleas. Mouth so swollen she could barely eat and sores to her back/sides.  It took us awhile to understand what she was suffering from. 1 week after she came to us she delivered her babies prematurely and stillborn.  Shortly after that we had her in for her Spay and discovered she had a Pyometra (an infection in her uterus) and a mouth full of rotten teeth. She also had wounds to several areas on her back end. She is now on antibiotics and pain meds and I two weeks will have a full dental done. Thankfully her HIV/Leukemia status is negative. We hope to see gradual improvement over the next few weeks.

Adopt
