Percy and Peaches

Percy and Peaches

A few years ago we rescued, Spayed and Neutered a group of semi feral cats that were displaced by a fire on Marble Point road. There were 52 total and of those 52 45 were female. We were able to find homes for ALL of these cats once fixed. Percy and Peaches were two of these adopted a couple of years ago. Received an update today from the wonderful understanding patient woman who gave them a home and to this day continues to work with them. Here is her testament to never giving up on the socialization of these cats who need time..

” Today marked a milestone in my household for one of my kitties, well two actually. Percy (the buff ginger) finally, after almost two years, slept on my lap for the first time. Understand that I can’t touch Percy, well, I can if he’s asleep and doesn’t realize what I’m doing until it’s too late, then he suffers through it. Today, not only did he lay on me and sleep, he let me give him oodles of loving too. His sister, Peaches also pictured, didn’t let me really touch her for almost 3 years – now I can’t get her off of my lap lol. Warmed my heart on a cold day . Love my fur babies. Never give up!’
