You may not notice at first glance but if you look closely the beautiful Calico shown here is only sporting three white paws. This beautiful girl came our way in very sad condition. Her front right leg was badly fractured, open and draining necrotic fluid. She was so full of fleas, worms and ear mites. Despite her injuries she remained affectionate and purred constantly. On examination by a veterinarian it was determined that there was no way to save her leg. Once her leg was amputated she blossomed immediately! She is shown here in her new home with her 2 new brothers. They are an inseparable trio!
Lucy and her Babies
We received a call from a woman who stated that she had a stray cat hanging around looking for food. She stated that the cat was trying to come inside. She told us that her husband detested cats and that he he came home and found her there he would dispose of her. We picked her up and discovered that she was very pregnant. 4 hours later she delivered 6 Red babies! All were adopted once weaned and have gone on to great homes. They have also all been spayed and neutered. Lucy as well was spayed and found a home with wonderful people.
2 of Lucy's girls. Grown up and in their new home lounging ! All have been spayed and neutered!
Marla and her Crew
Marla and her babies were living outdoors on an abandoned lot. She was trying desperately to protect her babies one day when a group of school kids were throwing rocks at them. Taken in and socialized they were infested with fleas, worms and ear mites. It didn't take long for them to develop into the beautiful bunch you see here. All are happy and living with their new families!
