You do not have to have a dog to walk. You can walk on behalf of the strays in our community who desperately need your help. If you do not want to participate in the walk then consider joining us for the day at Zwicks Island. Tell everyone you know! The more money we raise directly affects the animals we are able to help!

Walk Route: A beautiful scenic route along the trail by the water at Zwicks. A map will be provided on the day of the walk. If you are unable to walk the full 5km then feel free to only walk what is appropriate for you! We have individuals who choose to walk just 1km as they have senior dogs. Others have done the 2.5 km while others are able to walk the full 5km. It is geared towards each individuals preference!

What: Walkathon and Pet Waterfront Festival. This is a great day for animal lovers and their pets. If you cannot bring your pet then come on out, pull up a lawn chair and support the abandoned animals in our community. 100% of proceeds will be used to spay and neuter and re-home abandoned and homeless animals.

When: Saturday, June 14, 2008  ***Registration begins at 9am and the walk will commence at 10am

Registration Time: Will commence at 9:00 am. You may wait until the day of registration
to turn in your pledge money.

Registration Fee: We are asking for an $8.00 early bird ( If you register before May 15, 2008) or $10.00 on the day of event registration fee. Each walker will receive the following with their registration fee. 

                                                                              
Parking: Parking at Zwicks is provided.

Once the walk is complete there will be a fun filled day for pet lovers back at Zwicks. Everyone is invited. Many activities have been planned. There will be a number of canine games and competitions. You may register your pet for the competitions when you arrive in the am. Each competition will cost $3.00 to enter per pet. Each winner will be the recipient of a great prize for Pet and human.
